Heather Zigan, Dennis Serbus and Barb Nolan collected over a two year supply of crushed cans donated to the Special Education Program by Rooster Ridge. The money from the cans will be used toward the Special Ed trip to Camp Confidence in February.

This years Lion’s breakfast had plenty of hosts with 29 Lions serving breakfast on Super Bowl Sunday. Things got off to a early start and there were plenty of Lions available to lend a hand. Soon things got busy when the first church services let out and a large group of hungry parishioners quickly filed into the community center. All in all it was another great year with over 250 meals served.

The Browerville Independents will play the Clarissa Jokers Friday, February 3, at the new high school gym. Also included in the evening’s entertainment will be a contest between the Independent “B” team and former stars of the Browerville High School. This team includes: Herman Holler, Walt Kotula, Fay Mace, Willy Lucas, Leo Achter, Milt Olin and Bob Lee. The first contest takes place at 7 p.m.

A dream—a long cherished dream by local taxpayers, board members, faculty, students, and friends has materialized! The long awaited facilities of a new auditorium and gymnasium is in readiness. No wonder the seniors are all excited. If plans go according to schedule, the seniors will present “Just Ducky”—a three act comedy—on their “spanking new” fully equipped and well lit stage on Friday, February 17.
