The Browerville City Council voted to table a zoning request by Land O’ Lakes to divide their Browerville property into three parcels. At this time, Land O’ Lakes has a lawsuit pending against the county which is scheduled to be heard in Long Prairie Tax Court on April 4. Land O’ Lakes is appealing their 1994 tax assessment as being too high.

On Tuesday, the Tigers hosted Brandon-Evansville and defeated them 57-33. The Tigers came out and shot very well from the outside and had second-shot chances as well. Brandon-Evansville was cold from the field and the Tigers were able to get key rebounds early. This was the Tigers' best offensive and defensive game.

Senior citizens donated pennies toward a child sponsorship program, Rene, in Chili. Rene has been sponsored by Christ the King for eight years through monthly payments from the sale of soda aluminum cans and penny donations. Food items were donated by the students as bingo prizes.

Browerville had not competed in the One Act competition for several years. That was until Sue Michael moved to town. Sue was in charge of the One-Act play for Long Prairie for five years and she was eager to get Browerville started again. This year she and the 12 students who worked with her placed third in the district competition. They performed a fascinating One-Act titled “A Minute.”
