Sherry Carlson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Carlson of Browerville, shyly warmed up to “Happy” the clown at the Petro Plus Customer Appreciation Day held on May 16. Winners of the door prizes were: Boom Box—Stacy Gonsior; $10—Alexis Gmyrek; $5—Rebecca Ball; $100—Kathy Olson; $50—Barb Peterson; and $25—Colleen Henrich.

Land O’ Lakes donated $2500 to the Browerville Fire Department’s Jaws of Life fund drive last week. Presenting the generous donation was Mike Schultz to Fire Chief Walt Lucas and fund chairman Steve Beck.

The girls of the freshmen class at the public school enjoyed a noon luncheon on Wednesday. The following classmates spent the noon hour in picnic fashion: Phyllis Poplinski, Joan Solga, Sophie Buhl, Barbara Becker, Jeanette Brantner, Nadine Hegerty, Claretta Host, Jacqueline John and Doris Cygan.

The Women’s Catholic Order of Foresters met at the city hall on Monday. Mrs. Charley Obitz was the top contender for head prize and Mrs. Bryon Monnie received the cut prize.
