25 Years Ago

June 27, 1996

A group of hard-working youngsters rode in a “Bike-a-thon” held in Browerville last week to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Results of the bike-a-thon were not available as of this publication, but the participants were very happy with their efforts.

Father Thielmann from Christ the King Church in Browerville was one of many priests on hand to help Father Meemken and the parishioners of St. Joseph’s Church in Clarissa celebrate their centennial last Sunday.

Steven Benning, Chad Sykora and Todd Sykora were named to the Hamline University College of Liberal Arts Dean’s List for the second term of the 1995-1996 academic year. The boys achieved a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Ryan Schultz has just completed the auto body tech program at Willmar Technical College. Ryan is the son of Mike and Marilyn Schultz of Browerville. He is a 1994 graduate of Browerville High School.
