On Sunday, August 4, Zion Lutheran Church will be holding their morning worship service outside on the lawn. Following worship service, there will be a potluck picnic and a number of lawn games for young and old. The service will be led by Pastor John Dalen.

Gram Bentz of Browerville Babe Ruth has been drafted by Albany Babe Ruth as a catcher. Bentz will play with Albany Thursday-Sunday, August 1-4, at the State Babe Ruth Tournament in Cold Spring.

August 3, 1946
At the final meeting of the annual convention of the Minnesota Rural Letter Carrier’s Association held in St. Paul, A.R. Murphy, rural mail carrier on route two, Browerville, was elected secretary of the executive committee.

In one of the most destructive hail storms within the memory of most local citizens, the entire acreage was decimated to cereal grains for many farmers in the Browerville trade territory and was totally demolished. Many cornfields were left a desolate expanse of stubble and the situation for their grains was equally bad. Many farmers report complete losses.
