The Browerville VFW Post 8391 celebrated its 50th anniversary with a banquet held at the Community Center last Saturday night. Commander Clif Sadlo received a National Citation for 50 years of service to veterans and the community from past Department Commander James Vetter. The Browerville Girl Scouts assisted with the serving of the appropriately 120 guests at the banquet, which was catered by Elvie’s.

Ev Johnson with her children, Dana and Robbie, were dropping off copies of the new game Life on the Farm at Farmers Co-op Feed Store in Browerville. Ev is one of the inventors of the game that is produced by her family business, We R. Fun, in Pierz. The family started working on the game in 1988 and the second edition of 5000 copies will be available at Mill’s Fleet Farm and the Hardware Hank stores in the mid-west. Locally, Farmers Co-op will stock the game.

Tuesday evening brought to a close the 40-hour devotion held at St. Joseph’s Church.

The Browerville High Tigers received their first victory in the newly organized Park Region football conference with a 43 to 6 victory over Verndale. The scoring was well divided with Goike scoring three touchdowns, Woell two, Kahlert one and Captain Gorman one.
