The Browerville Fire Department’s fundraising drive to pay for the city’s new “Jaws of Life” drew to a close last week with a very generous donation from the Browerville Lions. The Lions kicked in $8000 toward the total cost of the $20,000 for the life-saving tool. The community thanks everyone who donated to this fund and a special thanks to the Lions for their continued support. Pictured were: Dick Rech and Robert Schaefer representing the Browerville Lions, and Dennis Tichy and Walt Lucas of the fire department.

The amazing Jeffo was at the Browerville Public School on Wednesday, sponsored by the Freshwater Education District. Jeffo, blind and partially disabled from arthritis, amazed elementary students with feats of magic and a lesson on overcoming disabilities. The audience soon forgot Jeffo’s disabilities as they laughed at his clever antics and jokes.
