The annual Christ the King Christmas Fair was held in the church basement last Saturday. On Friday, women gathered to bake over 1000 coffee cakes for the sale. The annual baking is a tradition in the community and as usual, all of the cakes were expected to be sold. Pictured are Kay Jakubik, Joan Iten, Dorothy Koester, Lucille Packer, Betty Crosby, Bary Spychalla, Alice Loken, and Rose Host.

The Tigers volleyball squad faced a familiar rival, the Eagle Valley Rebels, in the quarterfinals of sub-section volleyball action. It was an all Rebels night with the Tigers losing 0-3. The Tigers ended their season 11-8 overall.

Betty Masoner, the producer of the annual Veteran’s Day Program at the Browerville School, is surrounded by the uniformed cast. The program this year focused on construction in the military.

November 16, 1946
Bob Plotnik this week established a fur market at Park Rapids. For several years Mr. Plotnik has been dealing in raw furs and for greater convenience established a central market. He was recently located at Brainerd. Mrs. Plotnik assister her husband in final details and also at the opening of the venture this week. Mr. and Mrs. Plotnik, however, will continue their residence in Browerville.
