On Tuesday, members of the Browerville Lion’s endured the cold to string Christmas lights on trees along Highway 71. This year new red and green lights were purchased. There have been some electrical problems that have darkened some street lights and tree lights. As of Monday, City Engineer Chuck Buhl was working with Minnesota Power to correct the problem. Lion’s pictured were: Tom Oven, Bob Schaefer, Bob Heid, Sev Blenkush, Jack Dressen, Jim Hage, Lee Konetzko, Pat Schorn, Mike Scholts, Allen Hoelscher, Walt Lucas, Larry Werder, Roger Isrfeld and Russ Noland and Dennis Irsfeld.

Lemm was fired by Todd County Sheriff Dave Kircher on December 21, 1995 for three alleged instances of insubordination and failing to qualify with a firearm after four attempts. The arbitrators' decision was to uphold a six-month suspension but to award five months of back pay. Lemm will return to work in the jail and have three months in which to qualify with a firearm with a neutral instructor.

The Browerville girls opened their season versus Underwood on November 22. We started out the first quarter with good defense, got some steals and made some lay-ups. From that point on things got very cold in the Underwood gym. The score was Browerville 37 and Underwood 53.
