MnDOT presents roundabout plan to enhance safety at Highway 210 and 71

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) held an open house at the Hewitt Community Center on Tuesday, May 14, to discuss the proposed roundabout at the intersection of Highways 210 and 71.
Between January and February 2024, a survey was sent out for feedback on the intersection, in which 394 people participated with 11 phone calls. The key issues were poor sightlines and lighting, vehicles not stopping before turning onto Highway 71, and it’s impossible for pedestrians and buggies to cross the highway....
