MnDOT unveils plans for Highway 71 and Highway 29 upgrades at open house

MnDOT held an open house on Tuesday, March 12, at the Maslowski Wellness Center in Wadena to answer questions and show the public the plans for the Highway 71 and Highway 29 projects to be done in 2025. 

Detailed plans were laid out on tables, and MnDOT personnel were on hand to answer questions. 

Matt Seitzer, MnDOT consultant, explained the work that will be done.

Highways 71 and 29 will be resurfaced. New sidewalks, curbs, and slopes will be installed to meet ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements and bring existing infrastructure up to standards, including sight and audio crossing signals and a pedestrian trail....
