playground was great

for the kids of the

Verndale Area

Christian Academy for

safety, accessibility and

overall fun for the kids

After two years in the making, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Sunday, June 11, for the new playground at the Verndale Area Christian Academy/Verndale Family Life Church.

Enrollment at the academy continues to increase, finishing out this year with 35 K-6 students. Once the year-round school kicks off their new year which is after the Fourth of July, they have 53 registered.

When they began their child care center, they purchased the old playground equipment from the city of Verndale as they had upgraded their equipment in the city park. The equipment is old and inadequate for their current needs.

“We’ve been dreaming for a while. We needed to do something different,” said Pastor Amos Self. . .
