New year brings a new addition to Hewitt Fire Department

The new year is ushering in a wonderful addition to the Hewitt Fire Department. The department will be getting some extra help with fundraising and community events as they have added an auxiliary.

While employed by the Independent News Herald as a reporter, I covered stories of other local departments and their fundraisers. It seemed that other departments with an auxiliary were more prevalent in their communities....
