No injuries in pickup fire

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on Thursday, May 13 at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Highway 210, the driver of a Dodge Ram pickup, Kevin Gerads, 55, of Rice, noticed smoke coming from inside the pickup box topper which turned out to be a fire. The driver, his passenger, and two dogs were able to exit the vehicle unharmed before the pickup became engulfed in flames. The Hewitt Fire Department assisted at the scene.
