No one seriously injured in car versus semi accident
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a car versus semi accident occurred on Highway 10 in Aldrich just after 8 a.m. on Tuesday, March 2. A Freightliner, operated by David Tabber Markham, 37, of Henderson, was traveling west on Highway 10, west of Aldrich, when it was struck by a 2013 Chevy Cruze, driven by Brookelyn Kay Huisenga, 17, of Aldrich. Huisenga was pulling out of a residential driveway. The semi was leaking fuel and hydraulic fluid after the crash. The Verndale Fire Department used sand and floor dry to prevent the fluids from running into the ditch. An environmental company was called in to clean up the fluids. Huisenga and her passenger, Madden Rueben Roberts, 15, of Aldrich, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Tri-County Health Care. Markham was not injured. Assisting at the scene were the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office and the Verndale Fire Department.
