No worries about using the Clarissa gymnasium
by Karin L. Nauber
Concerns about whether or not the Clarissa gymnasium will still be available to the Browerville School District this season were quickly quelled by Superintendent Scott Vedbraaten in a brief conversation held last week.
Vedbraaten, who had negotiated the contract with the Late Jack McCoy (he passed away on Sunday, August 4 at the age of 63), said that the contract goes with the property.
“We made the contract so iron-clad so that there would be no way the district would ever have to worry. There will be no changes for the district,” said Vedbraaten.
He said that when they were setting up the contract they looked at every possible angle and scenario to protect the district.
The deed is in the name of the Late Jack McCoy and one of his sons—Ethan McCoy.
Vedbraaten has checked into whom he will now make the payments to for use of the gymnasium and said that it will be to the Jack McCoy Estate and to Ethan.
