Overcoming the Hard: Amberley Snyder’s journey of resilience

So Much More is a non-profit organization that supports mental health and brings in motivational speakers such as Amberley Snyder who was in an accident that paralyzed her from the waist down. Their mission is to remind others that no matter their current circumstances, there is So Much More to life.
Snyder presented Overcoming the Hard at the R & J Arena in Verndale on March 23, and the Bertha-Hewitt School on March 25, with the Henning elementary students in attendance.
Snyder was born in January of 1991 in southern California. She and her five siblings lived there during her dad’s Major League Baseball career with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
At the age of three, Snyder began riding lessons and developed an unyielding passion for horses. After her dad retired from baseball, the family moved to Utah. Snyder was seven years old and would only comply if she was promised a barrel racing horse when she got there. She got her wish, which was the beginning of her rodeo career.
Snyder began her presentation, Overcoming the Hard, using student volunteers as she set up the scenario of a fire alarm going off. She allowed a student, Elena, to use her wheelchair and navigate an obstacle course through the students.
