Overwhelmed caretaker releases 55 cats to the Animal Humane Society

The Animal Humane Society (AHS) in Golden Valley reported on their social media that 55 cats were rescued from an overcrowded single-family home in Wadena County on Thursday, October 3.

The Humane Investigations team responded to an urgent request from an overwhelmed caretaker in northern Minnesota. 

When they arrived, the team found 55 cats living inside a cramped single-family home.

While generally healthy, several cats were being treated for respiratory disease, which can spread rapidly in overcrowded conditions....
