Pedestrian hit on Highway 10

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on July 25, at 10:49 p.m., a pedestrian was struck on Highway 10 westbound at milepost 107.

Luke Simon Parker, 37, of Wadena was walking west on Highway 10 when he was struck by a 2003 Chevy Malibu, driven by Tyler James Rosekrans, 31, of Sebeka.

Parker sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Lakewood Health System. Rosekrans was not injured. It was noted that the road conditions were wet. Alcohol was not a factor.

Assisting at the scene were the Staples Police Department, Todd County Sheriff’s Office, Staples Ambulance, and the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office.
