Pirates declaw the Bears

The Verndale Pirates Football team traveled to Bertha-Hewitt on Friday, October 6 to take on the Bears on their Homecoming night.

During the first quarter, the Pirates scored on a 3 yard run by Shawn Schmitz and added 2 on the extra point attempt.

In the second quarter a one yard run from Schmitz along with the extra point attempt made the score 16-0....
