In their first playoff game, the Pirates defeated the Laporte Wildcats 39-30.

Behind Sena Lehmann’s 7 steals and Aspen Orlando’s 5 steals, Verndale forced 24 Wildcats turnovers.

The Pirates were 12 of 16 (75%) from the freethrow line, while the Wildcats were 44% (4/9)....
