Pirates face-off in two nail-biters with worthy opponents

On Thursday, January 20 the Pirates Boys Basketball team traveled to Wadena to play the Wadena-Deer Creek (WDC) Wolverines.

The Pirates got out to an early lead taking a 29-13 lead into halftime.

In the second half, the Wolverines clawed their way back into the game hitting a game-tying shot with 10 seconds left.

The Pirates didn’t flinch and quickly advanced the ball up the court with Josh Johnson pitching the ball ahead to Dilan Orlando for the winning lay-up with less than 3 seconds to go. . .
