Pirates open the season against the Bulldogs

The Verndale Pirates Girls Basketball Team opened up their 2022-2023 season at home against the Swanville Bulldogs.

After building up a 13-point lead midway through the second half, the Pirates lost 41-44.

Verndale was 0 of 14 from the 3-point line. As the game got close, the Pirates could not convert on offense and were just 5 of 17 from the free-throw line. . .
