Pirates sneak a win over Wolverines: Ludovissie earns 1000th point

After trailing for most of the game, the Pirates used a defensive and offensive surge in the final two minutes of the game to win their first Park Region Conference matchup of the season against the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines 57-54.

Verndale trailed 30-33 at halftime. The Pirates were able to capitalize on Wolverines turnovers.

Verndale found themselves in foul trouble, but girls came off the bench and fulfilled their roles....
