Pirates succumb to Thunder, overtake the Raiders

On Tuesday, February 28, the Verndale Pirates Boys Basketball started off the week by traveling to Long Prairie to play the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Thunder.

The Pirates got out to an early lead but then got into foul trouble. In the end, the Thunder were able to take the lead in the second half and not give it back.

Jaden Schulke had 21 points and was joined by Shawn Schmitz with 18 and Carter White with 13 in double digits. Jeremy Haskin and Jaden Schulke each had 4 rebounds to lead the Pirates on the boards. . .
