Pirates take down the Cardinals: Lose heart-breaker to Menahga

On Tuesday, December 20 the Verndale Pirates Boys Basketball team hosted the Upsala Cardinals.
The Pirates came out with stifling defense and jumped out to a 31-13 lead at halftime.
They finished by playing a good second half and won by a score of 58-33.
The Pirates were led in scoring by Shawn Schmitz with 22 points while Jaden Schulke scored 15 and dished out 4 assists. Torii Hagen grabbed 7 rebounds while Jeremy Haskin added 5 rebounds. . .
