Progress continues on Eagle Bend Library/Museum expansion
by Karin L. Nauber
The Eagle Bend Library/Museum has been undergoing an expansion project that has spanned several years' time.
From the initial talks about adding on to the library to the pouring of the foundation and now the shell of the building being prepared, countless hours have gone into this addition.
Fundraising activities have been taking place as well as many donations have been received.
The community residents pitched in and held fundraisers of every type until there was enough money to build and furnish a 42’x74’ handicapped accessible building. That was for the original building.
Now, the addition promises to add more value to the library/museum giving both more room to grow.
The library is a branch of the Great River Regional Library system. The museum was developed and is maintained by the Eagle Bend Historical Society.
