Steady progress continues at the Browerville High School gymnasium construction site, with several significant milestones achieved this past week and multiple phases advancing on schedule.
The scope and scale of recent work has made the transformation more visible than ever, giving the community a clear sense of the project's momentum and the shape it is beginning to take.
“We appreciated the opportunity for the board and community referendum task force to tour the facility last week,” shared Superintendent Scott Vedbraaten. “Seeing the progress created excitement for the opportunities the gym addition will bring for our students and families.”
A key highlight includes the successful installation of all 27 long-span joists, each measuring approximately 118 feet 6 inches in length and 64 inches in height. With the joists now fully in place, acoustical steel decking has been staged atop the structure and is scheduled for final installation over the coming week.
Roof insulation and built-up asphalt roofing work are expected to begin as early as next week. This phase will span approximately four weeks, contingent on weather conditions....
