Raiders have a good run at State

The Bertha-Hewitt-Verndale Raiders capped off their season with a trip to the Class A State Track and Field meet on June 8 and 9.

Brady Rach was the first to compete on Thursday night in the boy's 3200-meter run. Brady ran to a new school record of 9:37.91 for a 4th place finish and 6 points in the team score.

Both 4x800 meter relay teams competed on Friday afternoon with the girls running first.

The girls' team (Olivia Stanley, Mia Arroyo, Rochelle Dean, Kendra Miller) finished in 10th place, one spot out off the podium, in a time of 10:07.59. . .
