Raiders rule PRC duals

by Coach Michael Arvidson

Last Tuesday, we traveled to Henning for the last conference triangular of the season. After a 4-0 start to the PRC Dual campaign, the Raiders had a chance to win the title outright. It was going to be a tough challenge as the opening dual was against United North Central who has been ranked most of the year and back toward full strength. BHVPP on the other hand entered the dual with three starters out and one who missed weight.

Challenge accepted as everyone would have to do their job to achieve the goal.

Hudson Truax earned a hard-fought decision to get the dual started. Orran Hart wore his opponent down and picked up the fall. Justin Olson rallied late for the one-point decision before the Warriors cut the score in half with a fall. Bennet Arceneau earned a decision and Deagen Captain calmly took his opponent down in sudden

victory for the win making it 18-6. David Revering added a controlled decision before UNC took the next two matches. A forfeit for their stud at 160 followed a six-minute major decision loss for Tanner Schulke saving two team points. Cayden Kimber picked up the decision at 160 and it was 24-16. . .
