News from Eagle Bend's Past

Dave Harren, pushing the concrete chute above, leveled the ground and organized a crew to cement out the floor of a new 160x90 bunker silo for Curt Krause. Krause is home recuperating from a head injury he received on May 20 while unloading some iron at Eagle Bend Welding. Nearly two dozen friends, neighbors and relatives gathered at Krause Farms to pour 200 yards of concrete in about four hours on Wednesday, June 4. Curt and his father, Harold, could hardly express the gratitude they felt for all the help they were getting. Curt said he is feeling good enough to go back to work, but the doctor told him he had to wait for the healing to complete, or he would just be back in the hospital.
