FFA members Matt Mittag, Jesse Olson and Bill Zeidler worked at the hot dog and chocolate stand during Santa Day. The wheels were added to the sleighs this year to accommodate the lack of snow. Harold Bridge from Cushing and Ed Smith from Motley had full loads as they gave rides on Saturday.

The Eagle Valley girls' basketball team lost a tough conference game last Tuesday, falling to Browerville 49-46. The game saw the Rebels lead at the first quarter break 9-7, but Browerville had a good second quarter and led 30-22 at halftime.

Navy Seaman Bonnie J. Beach, daughter of Roger D. and Virginia M. Beach of Rural Route 2, Eagle Bend, recently returned from a five-month South American deployment aboard the dock landing ship USS Whidbey Island.

Air Force Airman Holly A. Notch has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air force Base, San Antonio, Texas. During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and customs and received special training in human relations. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
