Congratulations to Joe Tuma of Eagle Bend. Joe was drawn as the first prize winner in NAPA’s “Gone Fishin’ Sweepstakes” held at NAPA Auto Parts in Eagle Bend. Tuma will receive a deluxe fishing kit valued at $100 which comes complete with collapsible rods, reel, lures and other accessories in a compact carrying case.

The Rebels left little doubt in the outcome of the conference game as they scored 15 runs in the top of the first inning and went on to victory. The Rebels used 4 walks, 11 hits and 3 Swanville errors to bat around twice in that first inning. Players with 2 hits in the inning included Jill Pontius and Jill Schultz. Jill smashed a double in her first time up and a 3 run home run in her second at bat. EV 24-Swanville 4.

Sharon Schroeder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Schroeder of Eagle Bend, was crowned Dairy Princess Tuesday evening, May 14.

Six seniors and five juniors were inducted into the National Honor Society this past week from the Oak Grove Lutheran High School at Fargo. A banquet was held in their honor last Tuesday evening. Among the six seniors was Arden Norum, son of Pastor and Mrs. I.M. Norum of Eagle Bend.
