Every game has been right down to the wire. The final game saw Parkers Prairie and Browerville take the court. It was a rough start for the Panthers as their shooting was off and the Tigers were on. The next game saw Eagle Valley playing Verndale. Verndale led 17-16 after the first period. In the second, Eagle Valley came up with some tough defense and rebounding and took the lead 32-25 at halftime. Overall, Browerville took first in the tournament and Eagle Valley took second.

The Eagle Bend PTSA is sponsoring a Midwinter Carnival on Saturday, January 12, at the high school. This is the first time in many years for Eagle Bend to have such an event. Various community minded groups throughout Eagle Bend will be operating booths at the carnival. Each group has a special need for raising money—all worthwhile benefits. The PTSA will use its portion of the profits to provide scholarships to seniors going on to any accredited school and also for financial help in buying books for the local Right to Read program.
