Patrons of the Eagle Bend Library were pleasantly surprised when they visited the library on Saturday morning. The Great River Regional Library has repaired or replaced the damaged internet computers and related equipment for the public’s use. Additional security measures to the building have been installed by the city.

On February 11, the Rebels wrestling team traveled to Browerville to wrestle in the first round of the Section 7A team tournament. The Rebels wrestled tough and won the first round 36-30 over Ortonville. After the Ortonville match the Rebels wrestled against the number seven rated team of CACCB. The Rebels wrestled well but went down to defeat 27-45, which put them out of the team tourney.

Another good crowed turned out to view the ice races last Sunday. Although the weather was ideal for the spectators, it proved a little too warm for the track. The racers were experiencing good traction as spots of gravel were coming through the ice in sections. This increased the speed of the cars considerably, and in turn, provided the crowed with some spectacular crashes.

The Eagle Bend High School Music Department, under the direction of Donn Harris, will present its annual Pop Concert this Saturday night, February 23, at 8 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
