March 10, 1999
Eagle Valley students have been busy making models of the solar system. Graduation standards require that students show knowledge of making a model. The models were assigned at the beginning of the school year and students had until March 1 to finish them. Jeremy Wagner took first place, Jonathan Benning took second place and Sarah McDermott placed third.

From February 25-27, John Stone, the Rebels 112 pound wrestler, went to the Target Center in Minneapolis to wrestle in the 1999 State Wrestling Tournament. He wrestled his first match against John Neibuhr, an eighth grader from United South Central. The score was 4-8 which put Stone in the wrestle backs.

March 14, 1974
The Moorhead State College Theater presented “A Doll’s House” as its spring production in the Center for the Arts on March 28-30. It is called the original women’s liberation play, and the drama has a cast of ten. Beverly Nordstrom, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Nordstrom of Eagle Bend, was cast in the leading role.

Mrs. Evelyn Swanberg, former teacher of the Eagle Bend School system, has been nominated Teacher of the Year at Forest Lake, where she presently teaches.
