News from Eagle Bend's Past

December 1, 1999

Who is Stretch the clown? Many of you know him as Danny Smith, the owner of Eagle Valley Computers. How does a computer store operator get into being a rodeo clown? Todd County Sheriff’s Deputy Corey Heid and partner Jake visited with the ECFE class. Heid explained to the class what he and his partner do on the job and the training they have gone through to get Jake certified. The class really enjoyed having Deputy Heid and Jake there.

There is an extremely contagious feeling known as the Christmas spirit floating about Eagle Bend these days. To make sure you receive your fair share of this joyous spirit, attend the Eagle Bend High School Christmas Concert this Sunday afternoon, December 8, at 2:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The concert is being presented under the direction of Mr. Donn Harris, music instructor.

The Eagles won the opener. Eagle Bend jumped off to a 19-7 first quarter lead and never trailed after that point as they fought for a hard earned 59-42 win over our neighbors to the north, Bertha-Hewitt.
