News from Eagle Bend's Past
January 12, 2000
Were it not for several dedicated people, some past and some present, tracing the history of Eagle Bend would not be an easy task. The early history of the community was researched and recorded by O.B. DeLaurier whose columns appeared in the Long Prairie Leader. DeLaurier’s work was later incorporated into the Todd County Histories, printed during the Unities States Bicentennial celebration in 1976. Eagle Bend was documented in picture by photographer Arthur R. Tuller. Many of his photos of early Eagle Bend were made into postcards and are still highly sought.
