The largest crowd ever turned out to witness what was probably the fastest slate of demolition derby races yet. The mild weather allowed the gravel to melt into the ice track good enough to provide the racers with good traction. The additional speed provided the crowd with numerous and spectacular crashes. The “pot race” was unbelievable, with 25 cars entered. It was a continuous demolition derby yard race for quite a few cars.
