The Eagle Bend City Council was informed by Liquor Store Manager Betty Gabler that she plans to retire this spring. As she put it, “I’m here to put smiles on your faces, I’m leaving.” Gabler agreed to continue working for at least a couple of months so a replacement can be found.

The Rebels wrestlers finished their season with the individual section in Osakis on Friday and Saturday. They had five wrestlers place in the top six but did not have any place in the top two to advance in the tournament. Adam Mahutga, sixth place; Adam Gadbaw, fifth place; Jacob Asfeld, fifth place; Devin Wagner, sixth place; and Isaiah Godding, fourth place.

March 6, 1975
Navy Seaman Ralph L. Notch Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph L. Notch Sr. of Eagle Bend, has completed basic electricity and electronics school at the Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois.

The Eagle Bend wrestling team finished their third season with a 7-4-1 dual meet record in 1972-1973, the first year the Eagles had wrestling. The Eagles were 3-8, then last year they had a 7-4-1- record.
