Eagle Valley Speech Sub Section participants are: Nikki Reed, Renee Coburn, Sonja Stoterau, Rebecca Larson, Emily Klimek, Amy Tone, Michael Stoterau, Andy Van Heel, Rachel Kilau, Amanda Elblen, Steven Winkler, Erin Considine, Kali Dickinson, Sarah McDermott, Crystal Hess, Jessica Schwantz, Jody McDermont, David Winkler, Michelle Holt and Danielle Notch.

The Eagle Valley FFA placed at the Brainerd contest. The Dairy Products team consisted of Jesse Wildman, Beth Ahrens, Stacy Berg, JoDee Hlatky and Christine Kunerth. They placed second. The General Livestock team of Dusty and Darrin Shroeder, RayAnn Laveau and Sara Sales placed ninth.

The Eagle Bend PTSA will hold its final meeting of the school year this coming Tuesday night, April 22, at 8 p.m. in the high school music room. The topic to be discussed will be the “educational future of Eagle Bend” and the speakers will be the department heads in the high school.

Randy Maland collected Eagle Bend’s only point as he finished fifth in the pole vault at the Moorhead State Invitational track meet held last week. Maland competed against 19 pole vaulters from all over the state, and his 11’6” effort earned him a fifth place finish.
