The Faith Lutheran Church of Eagle Bend is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its new building this year. Faith Lutheran Church was a merger of the Trinity and Petri congregations. The merger was officially signed on February 2, 1964, with George Weibye (Notary Public of Todd County) and Gladys Listoe as witnesses. Those signing the document were: Donald M. Martinson (Trinity) and Halvor Oftedahl, Jr. (Petri).

Tim Notch was unanimously chosen to fill the vacant council seat. The seat was vacated by Dave Zeise and will be filled by Notch until December 31, 1996.

July 17, 1971
The Board of Education of Independent School District Number 790 of Eagle Bend held their first regular meeting of the fiscal year in the board room on July 6. Since this was the first meeting in which the newly elected directors Dennis Johnson and Reverend Wm. Weinerth could participate, the first order of business was the reorganization of the board. Linden Heldt was named chairman, Edward Clark, clerk; and Glenn Line was re-elected treasurer.

The Annual County Farm Bureau Picnic is being held this year at Horseshoe Lake. Arrangements have been made to use the club there so we can eat either inside or outside, depending on the weather.
