Rurup joins city maintenance crew

The search for a new full-time maintenance employee to fill the position after Chase Graba left has come to a successful conclusion.
Local resident Jason Rurup began his new position on October 18 and is eager to learn a new trade.
Rurup is a 2002 Bertha-Hewitt graduate and had been working at Lunds for the past 13 years. He was looking to find something closer to home, possibly something at the school or the bank if a position opened.
His wife Tahna, a pastor at the Verndale Family Life Church and Verndale School Board member, pointed out the ad in the local newspaper about the maintenance job. . .
