Savoie models for An American Girl Collection
by Karin L. Nauber
If you are a girl living in America anytime in the last 20 years or so, you are probably aware of the American Girl Doll.
The American Girl Collection is a sort of spin-off and is a new and upcoming clothing brand based out of Nashville, Tennessee.
The collection is designed by 15-year-old Katie Jean Davis.
Yes, you read that correctly. She is 15. When I was 15 I was still trying to figure out if plaid went with stripes!
Anyway, Davis owns Charjean Couture—an up-and-coming clothing brand based out of Nashville.
The line focuses on empowering young girls to achieve their dreams with their American Girl Doll.
The collection is geared towards girls achieving their goals, setting goals, and aspiring for all they can be. The collection is geared towards girls 4-13 years of age.
Davis started designing clothing after finding it difficult to find clothing due to her petite size.
She was born at 21 weeks and has a deep connection with the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). A portion of all sales goes back to fund her organization Katie’s Little Angels.
Katie’s Little Angels provide support services for NOCI families across the United States.
Davis feels that every girl can set their goals high and become anything they aspire to achieve!
It was with this in mind that Charley Savoie—daughter of Samuel and Britinie (Borst) Savoie—began her pursuit of her goal to be a model for the clothing line. . .
