Schultz Family Lumber takes ownership of Pete’s Lumber

Pete’s Lumber in Bertha has been sold, and the new owners, David and Beth Schultz, are continuing the business as Schultz Family Lumber.

“It started as a joke,” said Beth.

The Schultz’s had visited the store to pick up some supplies when they saw there was a sign on the counter that said the business was for sale.

“I poked him [David] and said we should own a lumber yard, and we both kind of laughed about it,” explained Beth.

David couldn’t stop thinking about the store and three weeks later decided to talk to Pete. Owning a lumberyard was something David had dreamed about and the opportunity had presented itself. . .
