Sheriff's Department rescues owl

On May 2, at 6:32 p.m., the Todd County Sheriff’s Office received a call of an injured owlet at an address on County Road 85 in Gordon Township. The Great Horned owlet fell from its nest, hurting its left leg. Deputy Winkels responded, picked up the owlet and brought it to the sheriff’s office. A volunteer from the MN Raptor Center responded and took it to the Raptor Center for treatment. The sheriff’s office has not been updated on the status of the injured owlet.
