Six Raiders secure spots at State

by Coach Michael Arvidson

The postseason is upon us and the last two weeks haven’t been a disappointment as the roller coaster of emotions starts with the opening round of team sections against Pelican Rapids.

BHVPP got out to an early lead and never looked back with falls from Justin Olson, Preston Captain, and Bennet Arceneau for the 18-0 lead.

Evan Jares picked up a decision in front of pins from David Revering and Deagen Captain for the 33-0 head start.

Reese Thompson added a nine-point win when his opponent bit him, six for us and minus three for them to clinch the dual mathematically 39 to -3 halfway through the dual.

The Vikings finally got in front of the goose egg with back-to-back wins by pin and tech to make it 39-8.

Cayden Kimber and Justin Koehn delivered falls and forfeits for Braden Shamp, Gideon Ervasti, and Collin Moller rounded out the scoring for the 69-8 quarterfinal victory. . .
