Sold again? Former school building has new owners

by Karin L. Nauber

The former Clarissa School building has seen a lot of changes over the years.

The most current change is that the building was sold again. This time to Jack McCoy of rural Long Prairie.

McCoy and his son Ethan were at the regular meeting of the Clarissa City Council in November to introduce themselves, talk a little about their plans for the building and ask the council to approve a zoning change making the building residential instead of educational property.

McCoy is planning to make condos and apartments within the building. He said he would like to work with the community and city so that the public could still use the gym facility to some extent. . .
