Storm recovery is proceeding: Give To The Max Day is November 17

Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota has hired and trained Tammy Riedel as a caseworker to process residential claims for unmet needs from the May storms in Todd County. The process has helped many people recover from disasters in Minnesota through a combination of accessing grants, volunteers, and local fundraising.

The Todd County Long Term Storm Recovery Committee meets every two weeks to do oversight of the claims of the unmet need and help to plan fundraising to meet unmet needs.

The fundraising proceeds go to buy materials and organize labor to rebuild and repair the damage.

The goal set is to raise $100,000 to help 50 residents recover their unmet needs when they were underinsured or had no insurance

If you have unmet needs from the May storms that insurance hasn’t covered, please contact Tammy Riedel at 218-673-0454. Tammy’s office is located at Faith Lutheran Church in Eagle Bend.

“Give To The Max Day” takes place on November 17 in Minnesota. If you would like to give to help your neighbors recover from the May storms your contribution will by matched through the Initiative Foundation in Little Falls.
