Teen driver collides with school bus

On Thursday, March 27, at approximately 7:50 a.m., the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a school bus.

The crash was reported in Section 23 of Wadena Township and the initial report was that at least one person was trapped in an involved vehicle.

Upon the arrival of deputies and the Verndale Fire Department, they found a 2013 Chevrolet Impala, driven by a 16-year-old female, had crashed into the rear end of a Verndale school bus. There were two other juveniles, 15 and 9, in the vehicle. The driver and one passenger were transported to Astera Health with non-life threatening injuries....
